Hey Ram!!!

Hey Ram!!!
Please tell us whether you had really constructed the Ram sethu or not?
Please tell us whether you really did B.Tech(Civil) or not?
Please tell us whether you were born at Ayodhya or not?
Please do answer us before the sick, crazy, crooked media and the rumour hungry society poses you one more embarrassing and mortifying question
"Did Rama Know Archery???"
Now take a break Ram , we have got one more person on whom we can through as much mud as we like.

I am raking these outdated queries of the past because we are so madly obsessed and passionately interested in the Controversies surrounding the famous persons that we hardly care for the Positiveness and Relevance in an Entity. At last, India is a Democratic country and we have the Right to Express(We hardly care for Fundamental Duties).

We would like to introduce you a person whose surname still makes Prime Ministers of our country. We are greatly interested to know what was the relation between those two girls(Abha and Manu) and Him, on whom He use to depend for support during the final days of His Life, rather than to know what support His Life has given to India and the World...... We are desperate to know who is great among Bhagath Singh and Him rather than to know the fact that Bhagath Singh and his group had followed the path of non-violence through Satyagaraha during their last days in prison , before they were hanged(Jatin Das had died during this satyahraha in prison)............ We have acute appetite to diffuse the ideological differences between Subhash Chandra Bose and Him rather than to know the ethical values of Netaji who named one of his 3 battalions on His name..........We are more eager to blame Him for the Partition of India rather than to know the historical attempt He could have made in Feb 1948 at Karachi to unite the two countries if He was not brutally murdered by a Hindu fanatic God'Say'(Who want to remember His Death anniversary any-ways)........

Among the tributes to Him upon his death were these words by the great physicist, Albert Einstein:

Generations to come will scarce believe that such a one as this walked the earth in flesh and blood.”

Wow! well said Mr Einstein. But we don't need generations,we have been disbelieving Him and His path since decades.

So what if Netaji had revered Him as Bapuji. So what if Tagore had respected Him as Mahatma. We dont want to take inspiration from an half-naked old man who used just a lathi to fight against the mighty British Empire. We need Revolutionaries who can take instant deaths with modern pistols. We don't want Him who fought against a dominant system on behalf of a suppressed system . We want leaders who can kill persons rather than the system.

The basic problem is that we hardly know the detailed events of His Life. We don't know what made Him to do the mistake of Committing to Independence. We should make a magnified search on His Life so that more minute experiments and open mistakes done by Him can be blown out of proportion through which can satisfy our arm-chair criticism syndrome. We even heard that. He has done certain experiments with Truth and Non-violence(Is it??).
How come we are blaming someone without knowing what exactly He is ??
We need more reasons to blame Him but we hardly have the source for it. We have a solution for this. We will do a prejudiced, biased and partial study on his self-proclaimed autobiography titled "My Experiments with Truth"(price:30 rupees). It sounds very costly, almost a cool-drink cost in a movie interval. No problem. We can gather a fund of rupees 30 easily standing at any junction(In India we can do anything on His name)

By the way, we didn't tell His name right? His name is mmmm....wt was that....Rajiv, Rahul(sorry ,i donnow priyanka's son name). Hmm.....anyways leave it.

Hey! Who is that guy among us murmuring something about Lal Bahadur Shastri. Common dude, we should not remember someone who is out of Nehru-Gandhi family, though he might be a person with sincerity, dedication, humbleness, honesty, modesty and highly ethical....Shastri is 100% fair and clean in character. There is 0% chances of throwing mud on Shastri .

Yeah, coming to our topic, before signing off we would like to tell you one more interesting thing about His Death. There is still a controversy regarding the words He had uttered before He died. Some people say He had said nothing(may be with an opinion that He did nothing....).Some people say that He was being collapsed, by the thrust of violence, on the heart of his Motherland, with a peaceful and yet significant sigh.......... " Hey Ram!!!"

I didnt like this article at all Mahesh..probably because of my mental block against Gandhi..
Why did you call Godse a Hindu fanatic??? Cant he love his religion and I dont remember reading anything that says he harming any muslim? In fact media has never bring on the contribution RSS did or does to the society, because its bought by so called Congress!!! This is what I dont like about media and what people think..when a same action is done by Muslim or Christian they call them followers and similarly when a Hindu speaks about Hiduism he is called a pro-Hindu!!
I dont know how great gandhi was and probably I dont want to know, but unfortunately his name is used wrongly even today..and yes priyanka gandhi's son name is Raihan Vadhera GANDHI!!!

@Rupa,
thanks for your frank opinions....
Before i say something, i would like to put some points here
* I neither support congress nor BJP
* To love Hinduism one need not be a member or admirer of RSS

My opinions are

1. Godse killed Gandhi.... this factual statement is enough to call Godse, a Hindu fanatic.

2. regarding RSS and VHP..., years back i was a staunch follower and admirer and was closely associated with its camouflage activities and biased literature and i experienced very well the strategic contributions of RSS to society...... Thanks to the wide exposure of Anthropology, History, Biographies, Sociology and many greatest books which saved me from the trap of RSS fanaticism and fundamentalism. Total world knows whats happening in Gujrat since 2002.

3. Loving your religion is not necessarily hating other religion or killing fellow citizens. Godse has every right to criticize and oppose Gandhi, but not to kill him brutally.

4. Is Religion the only criteria to judge a person ?

5. I respect your opinion that you do not want to know about Gandhi. It is your rational choice.

6. I do not want to let the pseudo-patriotic RSS to take India back to dark age (like what talibans did in Afghanistan)

7. Finally, TOLERANCE is the essence of Hinduism since ages and not fanaticism.

cheers
mahesh .

Ok I agree that Godse hadnt had any right to kill Gandhi..for that matter none..but why do you call him a Hindu fanatic, call him just a fanatic..
Why should we bring in the religion in between? Since you are a Hindu or Christian or what ever..should I call your blog as "Hindu" Wisdomism or should I call myself as "Hindu" Rupa? Please dont take it personal par "kriya" has nothing to do with religion, its all about right or wrong, right or wrong from individuals view. Like, you find Gandhi right and I find him wrong, which is totally individual perspective. But this perspective is not based on my religion or upbringing or caste and same with you.

I want to give you an example Mahesh, which might deviate the topic a little; recently a person from IIT who is working in US got arrested for stalking a kid sexually and all the headlines were saying "IIT engineer is online sex stalker in US"!!! Before IIT for godsake he is a human being. Media just highlighted the wrong thing!! Why I am quoting this example is because we many at times we do this mistake of show casing a person mistake by his religion or caste or even alma mater..I hope you got me what I am trying to say

Thanks,
Rupa

Rupa,

Why Mahesh calls godse 'Hindu Fanatic'? depends on the reason why Godse killed Gandhi? - i don't know the complete story but, i think he had no personal reason, and he was victim of the religious riots. And the problem arose from religion.

Mahesh, nice blog, i like it very much. But as I am telling from the beginning, Just don't write in the smort way, inspire people to do something and be the first to do it. This blog has fulfilled the reason for what it was written.

Rupa, to understand Gandhi first you have to believe in his path 'Satyagraha'. We got freedom without much blood shed in the time of world war II. Gandhi knows, what are the consequences of a War. To know him better 'Lage raho Munnabhai' is a good film for a common man like me.

Thanks,
Pappu

1.......Why Mahesh calls godse 'Hindu Fanatic'? depends on the reason "WHY Godse killed Gandhi"? -
I agree with this point completely with conscience and conviction and thats what i meant in this topic.

2.....inspire people to do something

Yes it is happening in real time. Wisdomism has been inspiring people to take strategic actions in various aspects, both at personal and societal levels.

3........ "be the first to do it"

All the topics in this blog are the consequences of the actions done and experiences felt. If it is only for the sake of writing, i could have written one new topic daily.
Yes, I would say humbly, I did start spreading the relevance of Gandhi exactly three years ago.

*** It may take few more weeks to make the actions open and official.

4. Finally. I am quite impressed with your zeal and enthusiasm to contribute. You have the potential to strike it hard. Hope, you will take the future call of wisdomism.

Oh Rupa (Don't think that you are being pointed, It is great that you are speaking up),

I forgot, I am hindu and I am proud that in Gita (though - it is not a religious sacret book - it is Bramha Gyana), it was told that - 'The one who sees the God in Dog, Tree, a Peasent, a Brahman and everyone and shows no difference between tham - is a PANDIT'. And I believe Gandhi believed in it.

Thanks,
Pappu

Here are some question, that came to my mind after reading your article.

Would the Prime Ministers family be still as powerful if did not have the "Gandhi" Surname?

Considering the country of size of India, when talking about freedom struggle why do we think of only one person? Did we get independence with the efforts of only one person and his ideology?

Why are Bhagth Singh and other still considered terrorists until recently in independent India?

Why haven't we ever heard of Godsay's side of the story? Are we aware of the riots that took place in his village and the struggle the people with his surname had to go through?

Unfortunately Ghandhi's name is only evoked for political gain with least consideration to his principles in current day.

You have mentioned negative about Bhagath Singh and Netaji but none about Gandhiji, is it coz we heard of any?

mAhEsH KaLaAL said...

@ Anonymous, thanks for your insightful and rational questions :)

* Before I answer, i would like to say that I am not a Gandhian.

1.Would the Prime Ministers family be still as powerful if did not have the "Gandhi" Surname?
A) Yes, as long as the mindset of indian jantha do not repulse away from the feudal and dynastic mindset. The Surname 'Gandhi' gives them the necessary societal acceptance at subconscious level whenever the election mela arrives for every 5 years.

2. Did we get independence with the efforts of only one person and his ideology?
A) Definitely Not because of One Person, but definitely because of many martyrs following One Ideology.
Reasons:
-> prior Independence, India was a combination of British India+ 536 princely states.
--> If India had got independence through the war lead by subhash chandra bose, imagine, there would be 537 Indias now.
--> Gandhi was representing a suppressed system against a mighty superior empirical system. So it requires an ideology and political process that can ignite the masses participation both in the movement and elections and hence we got one political India in 1947
--> For him Independence was one of the means to reach the end of societal equality in india.
--> Of course, yes, it is because of the irrational obsession of the Congress party which projected Gandhi in front-lines. In fact, Gandhi suggested that Congress party should not contest in elections as its goal of independence has been achieved and it should pave the path for true democracy.
--> Gandhi never felt that he alone deserves the total credit of independence and the fact that he neither became PM nor President substantiates this point.
--> Moreover, when the statesman Nehru was busy with his historical speech and flag hoisting at Red Fort in 1947, Gandhi was serving the victims of Kolkatta riots.

3. Why are Bhagath Singh and other still considered terrorists until recently in independent India?
A). It is quite simple. Because of Congress party.
Generally, one nation's freedom fighter is another nation's terrorist.

4) Why haven't we ever heard of Godsay's side of the story?
A) Whatever may be the grief story and the factual reasons, he do not have the right to kill a person who is not associated with the riots.
Personally, I oppose the act of murdering someone just because of religious fanaticism. How far is it justified if I kill muslims in AP for godhra carnage in Gujrat and vice versa?

5) You have mentioned negative about Bhagath Singh and Netaji but none about Gandhiji, is it coz we heard of any?
A) I have equal reverence for all the three . What I was conveying is all of them had mutual respect for each other. They followed their own paths for one common goal. Then, why should we separate them in the name of ideologies.

--> Among the three, only Gandhi have negatives, relatively, if at all u want to find. Thats why i suggested every one to read his autobiography so that we can find more negative areas of his life. He just wrote them by himself.

--> Coming to my heroes Bhagath Singh and Netaji Bose, how dare I can find negatives with such inspirational martyrs. I just revere them .

*** Ideologies should be used as a means to reach our ends. We should not let ideologies to use us as their means to reach the end of destruction.
* BTW, whats your name dude?

I am neither Gandhian nor am I against it. I am for any good that can lead our country to a better future.

My problem is with hypocrisy and its use by leader in every step which is sinking us with it.
We don't know what would have happened if we attained Independence after the fist Sepoy revolt.
We don't know what would have happened if Netaji would have got us freedom.
We don't know what would have happened if Godsay would not have killed Gandhi.
One thing in common is every one fought for freedom and all deserved the respect of a freedom fighter.

Godsay was Gandhi follower, he followed the call for freedom struggle. He worked for social equality of harijans and equality of all.
Why would such a person kill Gandhi himself? Because he truly believed it was for the well being of the nation.
He could not stand a leader betraying his own people by sympathizing with weaker sections which led for the partition of the country.
I do not support Godsay killing Gandhi, for that matter killing. His killing was not religiously biased but was done out of love for his country.

Gandhi may have had other plans for our country, we don't know, may be he would have tried to reunite India, may be something else, but as of now,
he is just a face of one party which uses it at its will to cover up all the aristocracies done and being to our nation. The saddest part, we let them do it.

May be I should take up the Gandhi surname and wear the kadhar mask to safeguard my future and the generations to come?

mAhEsH KaLaAL said...

@Anonymous,

1.May be I should take up the Gandhi surname and wear the kadhar mask to safeguard my future and the generations to come?
A) My exact intention is to get rid of these ritualised kadhar masks and hypocritical surnames. What I was trying to say through my article is , "If at all you want to criticize Gandhi, why dont you do it in a complete way by reading his autobiography, where you can rip him apart ". If you can spend time knowing about Godse, please do it for Gandhi too, so that we can have balance of opinion, without bias and prejudice.

2. His killing was not religiously biased but was done out of love for his country.
A) What might have made a Gandhi follower to kill Gandhi? Is it association with the fundamentalist organisation, RSS?
Both Subash chandra bose and Bhagath singh were Gandhi's admirers once and later parted ways with Gandhi by disagreeing with his ideology, but they did not kill him, instead they started their own path for independence.

3) He could not stand a leader betraying his own people by sympathizing with weaker sections which led for the partition of the country.
A) Before we discuss anything about the role of Gandhi in the Partition of India, I would like to ask you whether you are familiar with the roles of Jinnah, Nehru and the British in the partition of india, so that we can have a rational discussion?
But still I would like to put some points here.
--> The ego clash between Jinnah and Nehru along with the fuel of British policy of Divide and Rule is the major cause for Partition.
--> The bargaining of partition was based on the number of seats won by Congress and Muslim League. So, British had utilised the democratic nuances to their wishful mandate. So, the ball was not in Gandhi's court, rather, he was left with the choice to respond. If he said no to partition, the independence would have been delayed for uncertainty. I dont understand, from did the word 'Betrayal' has come in between the political setup?
--> So, Nehru had two options to get Independence
1. Jinnah would become PM and India would be One nation
2. India would be partitioned and Nehru would be PM of partitioned India.
Hence, the Lust of both Jinnah and Nehru for the PM chair played the spoilsport.
--> Jinnah and Gandhi were to meet in February first week of 1948 to discuss the reunion of the nation. Unfortunately, Gandhi was shot dead on 31 January. My question is whether the concept of reunion of india had something to do with Godse's RSS mindset. Had he wished for an exclusive Hindu country only? Was he trying to stop India becoming one nation?? Had he become a tool in the biased literature of RSS?
--> Neither Jinnah nor Nehru/Gandhi had known the consequences of Partition. Results should not be parameter to judge the intentions. And therefore the fact that Jinnah was trying to unite with India shows that, by then, he knew that it was his historical blunder.

** May I know whom am I communicating with ?

Before Independence, RSS, BOSE, Bhagath and all freedom fighter had only one aim, Independent India. lets take your word for RSS having sudo ideology but that would not be until after Independence, so lets rule out Godsay killing for religious reasons.

Do you have a reference to your claim about the meeting with Gandhi and Jinnah about uniting the country, I have read so my theories but never heard of this one. I even tried to search for it in "My experiments with truth", no luck there. I really wish it were true. Just 2 people have a meeting and unite a country, I really wish things were so simple.

WHO AM I? I ask the same question myself a lot of times. I am just a guy surfing the net, who happened to stumble across you blog and I am glad we are having a good discuss/debate. Not a lot of youth talk about India and politics like you do, good for you.

I am not sure what you are trying to clarify with this link. Your article states that Nehur wanted to build democratic India with equal representation unlike Jinnah. Gandhiji was a leader for freedom struggle could not he have influenced either of them to not to divide the country? The fact is we know nothing about the situation and the facts never come out. All we have is interpretations and verbal statements of different people and you are bound to take sides with out any proof. Gandhi being the leader, his responsibility is to do very thing keep the country united, he stepping aside at the crux of the issue is like giving up the struggle just before you gets the fruits of your struggle. As a common man I feel disappointed and cheated for partition of your country.

Mahesh Kalaal said...

@ Anonymous...

Sorry for my delay in response... Thanks for ur patience.

1. Gandhiji was a leader for freedom struggle could not he have influenced either of them to not to divide the country?
--> Partition was primarily the game of numbers(representations). The ultimate authority was with Britsh who put the condition that both Muslim league and congress should become one nation or get partitioned and only after that political independence will be transferred from the hands of British to United India or India/pakistan.(Wiki)
This is the reason why we got independence after the partition.

Source : wikipedia
2. For years, Gandhi and his adherents struggled to keep Muslims in the Congress Party (a major exit of many Muslim activists began in the 1930s), in the process enraging both Hindu Nationalists and Indian Muslim nationalists. (Gandhi was assassinated soon after Partition by Hindu nationalist Nathuram Godse, who believed that Gandhi was appeasing Muslims at the cost of Hindus.)

Doesnt this sentence say that Gandhi had indeed tried to appease Muslims for united India

What else he could do if Jinnah do not succumbs to the pursuasions of Gandhi....??

--> You say that " All we have is interpretations and verbal statements of different people and you are bound to take sides with out any proof" and again you ask the commitment of Gandhi without any proofs. Contradicting ???
In that case we should stop discussing history.

--> Gandhi had two choices
1. Freedom with partition
2. Freedom without partition (Jinnah said no)

so the only option left was freedom with partition.....

Why dont you blame Jinnah who started the hate campaign and was reluctant to join fee india without any conditions?
Why dont you blame the British who played the pivotal role in partition through their conditions of minorities security??

No where it is recorded that Gandhi has tried his best to do partition....

wasnt it gandhi who supported Khilafat movement to gain muslims confidence??

4 . Gandhi being the leader, his responsibility is to do very thing keep the country united, he stepping aside at the crux of the issue is like giving up the struggle just before you gets the fruits of your struggle.

-- > Bal Gangadhar Tilak, Bipin Chandra Pal, Mohammad Ali Jinnah, Annie Besant , Ali brothers, Motilal Nehru and Chittaranjan Das, subhash chandra bose have rejected Gandhi's leadership (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Non-cooperation_movement)

So Gandhi was not a supreme power or unanimous leader but one of the influential leaders.
You are talking about the missed fruit but why dont u talk about the gained fruit of independence and the struggle behind that???
isnt it half full glass of water??

We can blame gandhi if he hasnt tried at all or if he had deliberately planned for partition
....what else he can do if Nehru and Jinnah are concerned about their power?

Will you blame Subhash bose too just because he hadnt given any fruits or will you salute to his bravery and patriotism?

5. What would you have done if you were in his place with those inevitable two choices??
1. Freedom with partition
2. Freedom without partition (Jinnah said no)
