Revenge

She left him, ruthlessly, forever, for better prospects.

He is no more in "He is..."

The only thing he is left with is "He was..."

He wont be in " He will..."

He wont be 'Him' again..... the 'Him' made by 'Her'...

... but the only avenge he knows is to be in love with 'Her'.

I'd call it masochism, he's not avenging but aggravating her deceit.

Very true-for seeking revenge would be a confession of the pain.
Reminds me of the poet who said "We shall grieve not, rather find, strength in what remains behind".
As always, a delightful and very powerful piece of writing.

Would be good if 'HE' can learn to take 'NO' gracefully.

Nice way of putting it. i was expecting lot of 55ers for this topic. But yours seems to be the only one. Btw,"He is nor more" would be "He is no more"? Also your use of avenge as noun is a bit uncommon. Thought it was a mistake, but on googling I found the usage does exist but I have not come across. You can check out my post for Blog-a-ton here: Revenge

I was about to ask you about your use of 'avenge' as a noun, since I have not seen it used that way, when I read TF's review. The feminist inside me was glad to know that the male protagonist did feel bad that she had left him ;p

@Blasphemous Aesthete : he isn't aggravating her deceit, even after her ruthless act(leaving. He clearly stating that he can only love her..it's a proposal..it is not at all avenging and he doesn't want to avenge..b'cos, he understood her leaving too...love and understanding can be together, but not avenge and love...if he's avenging, then it makes clear that he didn't ever loved her...

I feel like, if they are in love they are one, there are no two people in love like pain giver and pain taker...if it is love the pain giver itself takes highest pain as he/she is the cause, in spite of the circumstance which led them to be cause..

All I can say is a sensible post from a sensible writer....
