Free-55 Fiction

This post has been published by me as a part of the Blog-a-Ton 23; the twenty-third edition of the online marathon of Bloggers; where we decide and we write. To be part of the next edition, visit and start following Blog-a-Ton. The theme for this month is FREE.

Note:- 55 Fiction infers to fictional writings bounded to a maximum of 55 words.

We got freedom.
We have freedom....
.......
Freedom to express and choose .
                 to exploit and suppress.
                 to adapt and evolve.
                 to dilute and corrupt.
                 to have Religion
to be slaves of Globalization ...

Freedom for Farmers to drink pesticides
                 for Tribes to convert
                 for Corporates to suck

But we forgot that our freedom was not for Free

It was just yesterday while I was writing a post on open source software that I was re-realizing that freedom is a word with vague meaning. 'Free as in Freedom of Speech' is very much different than 'free in free beer' and yet, both are termed freedom.
Freedom comes with liabilities, sparing the usage of the word restrictions with freedom, but liabilities are a must, or else Freedom turns to anarchy and chaos in no time.

Nice post.

A very telling rendition on the state of affairs that plagues us today-the problems, the misplaced intents, the forgotten duties, the exaggerated privileges.
Crisp and terse, as you always are-brilliant piece of writing!

a hundred glimpses of reality in your fiction of 55 words...a strong post indeed!

the mind cant help but wish---if only we could achieve freedom in the true sense of the word, and if only we did not have to pay such a heavy price for it...

all the best for BAT!

Very aptly captured that over everything else we do have a freedom of choice, which we should exercise with constraint....
