 Karma?

She has got no other choice, besides her age is an added advantage for the involuntary profession she is into , since months. She is feeding herself by letting herself into the changing hands,  daily, on a contract basis. Her name never mattered as it keeps changing. She is a born child labour, hardly 3 months old.

Very good one, and a reality we are ingoring on traffic signals and roads. Can we research on NGOs for asking them to act against this?

And what do you mean with the title?

It pains to see those newborn babies been "used" in the traffic signals. But do we do something ? We just move on signals and signals.

Reminded a recent news in bangalore where the maid had sedated and rented out the new born baby once the couple leaves to work.

Nice fiction. Its winter season and you can see them using such newborns draped just in rags for begging. Its indeed sad.

@ Pappu....

Yeah, i know few NGOs which are working for the cause....

Title?.... I questioned it ....
is it Karma??...
can we do something or just ignore it by attributing such situations to hypothetical Karma theory ??

@ Lakshmi Rajan,

You are correct..... we just MOVE ON....in this globalized commercialised consumerist rat race .....

Just was wondering whether a baby girls would be 'so fortunate (!)' to be fed even like this, though I am bit ignorant about the reality.

Mahesh Aadhya Kalal said...

@ aativas,

Yea.....ur wondering is valid and rational....i got ur point.

Besides, it is very much real and happening that the prospects are more in manipulating the gender aspect of baby gal right from her birth to until she ......... i think u got the point now.

Just to put it ion record. A case of such "hiring" has been reported in Delhi and Noida recently.
It is a pity.

Mahesh Aadhya Kalal said...

@ Chowla...

Yes, it is a pity....pathetic pity.....ruthless pity..... blunt pity....

Mahesh,

I think you got Karma theory from a wrong source, please don't spread it. Read Gita to know it.

I don't want to divert this thread, as know the NGO can you send us the details as we all are interested in voluntary participation.

@ Pappu...

I got the karma theory from the right source....GITA. I did study this theory inthe Social/cultural Anthropological concept of Religion(Multi-theism).

I dont have any problems with the theory.....but i do have problems with the people of certain sections who have twisted this theory to dominate/exploit other sections of the society .....Yeah, as u said it is of diff thread.

I work for "Hope for Needy" . You can read more @

Very well written.. The end was very touching.. Daily at signals and outside malls I see teen-aged beggar kids holding infants for inducing alms.. And they keep tossing them around.. What a life !!
