Duty - 55 Fiction

Note:- 55 Fiction infers to fictional writings bounded to a maximum of fifty-five words.

Duty

It was his first job.

It was his first day.

He went to temple in the morning.

He was bit anxious and tensed.

He approached his work place with apprehension.

His colleagues welcomed him warmly.

He was assigned a routine task.

He jumped into his work quickly........

......jumped into the overflowing manhole to fix it.

@ Mahesh

As always a very thought provoking post!!
What else I can say..despite all the managerial work shown & followed, the fact is even today not proper equipments or safety uniform or list of safety rules is followed.
Something which has been lacking past many years...we just don't care for the human-life!
Hygiene is something very far to think of...we cannot provide the basics needs to the hard-workers and still think giving them peanuts is more the sufficient!!!

My heart cries out when we are talking of disaster management and health management..still don't find even a single norm to safeguard the life and health of the such people.

However, we do have plans of compensation to be given if he loses his hand, leg , eyes or life for sake cleaning the s**t of ours!
And at the end of the day disregard their efforts, their hard-work.. Ahhh...nothing more sick we can expect from our decent sophisticated society!

NICE POST!!
As always..
