Bland-55 Fiction

Note:- 55  Fiction infers to fictional writings limited to 55 words

I know very well about your skills and capability...
You are adept in doing it...
You have got great experience.
You did it earlier..
at many places...
with many people...
Now, you have got the chance to entice me with your suavity
and something in me is desperate for it...
but still, go back! Walmart!

Her age of 10 is craving for the delicious eye appealing ice creams...
Her taste buds are yearning for the decorated chocolate fountains...
The teddy bears and tweeties are inviting her for embrace...
She exchanged cute smiles with other kids...
Then came the flight announcement and she is yet to know that she is being sold.

Coexistence - 77 Fiction

Note:- 77 Fiction infers to fictional writings bounded to a maximum of 77 words.
Coexistence

Raju, a 8 year old boy, lives in one of the worst chronic drought  areas of south India.
Needless to say that poverty and migrated father pushed him into child labour.

Everyday,  he has to follow a herd of  cows, though he is not the shepherd.

His duty is to collect cow dung, secretly.

His sister and mother help him at home.

For survival, his entire family depends on undigested jowar grains, found in the cow dung, everyday.

Sick - 55 Fiction

Note:- 55 Fiction infers to fictional writings bounded to a maximum of fifty-five words.

Sick

It is paining him again.

His age of seven could not tolerate it anymore.

Raju has been suffering from one of the widespread diseases for last 3 years.

In his case it is hereditary.

In spite of so much scientific advancement, medical science is yet to invent remedy for it.

It is Chronic.

It is Hunger.

PS : Nearly 212 million people suffer from chronic hunger and undernourishment in India, while others spend their time trying to lose weight.

Lost Supper - 77 Fiction

Note:- 77 Fiction infers to fictional writings bounded to a maximum of 77 words.

 Lost Supper

It was already 11 in the night ...
Chintu, Bujji and Chinni were eagerly awaiting for their father...
Their burning hunger was at peak as they didn't had lunch that day also...
Their father came at 11.30 with 2 plastic bags...
Everyone were in smiles and grabbed those bags which contained pizzas, chicken burgers, butterscotch cake and mutton biryani...
They had a delicious feast and digested everything including the fact that those food items were picked up from a restaurant dustbin......

PS : If we can skip lunch in a luxury restaurant one week in a month, we can help a poor family with food for a month.

Relish - 55 Fiction

Note:- 55 Fiction infers to fictional writings bounded to a maximum of fifty-five words.

 Relish

They would have rice only once a month.....

I was there with them on one such occasion.....

They served rice on sal leaves with salt and chilli powder.....

I was anxious enough to ask what I should have the rice with.....

One of them told me humbly, " Mix it with the hunger in your stomach".

PS :
1. The dark side of India's economic growth has been that the excluded social groups have been further marginalised, compounding their hunger, malnutrition and even leading to starvation deaths
2.  India is failing its rural poor with 230 million people being undernourished — the highest for any country in the world. Malnutrition accounts for nearly 50% of child deaths in India.
